Environmental Policy

Introduction

GCG Group has over the years come to realize that in order to take an active part in the wellbeing of our environment, we have first to identify all risks associated with the undertaking of contracts in our type of industry, and, to identify all means of addressing these risks.

Procedure

GCG will identify all discharges to air and water, land contamination, nuisance, waste and ecological harm which will, or may, result from any operations carried out on site and will seek out the source of these operations to prevent any incident on site.

GCG will define the control and prevention program to be adopted (which will include for staff training/awareness) this program will include a corrective action plan in the event that an “incident” should occur.

GCG program will take into account the minimum standards that GCG have adopted in the past (attached) these standards are not to be considered exhaustive, and, will from time to time be added to as more awareness of the environment is taken into account.

Policy

GCGs policy at all times will be to ensure that the environment is taken into account prior to any work commencing out on site.

GCG will all times liaise with the Main Contractor prior to any work commencing to ensure that all necessary precautions have been carried out to prevent an incident.

GCG has now with help and guidance of SEPA made a capital investment in purchasing a new distillation plant for the recycling of all waste solvents, which will reduce the amount of waste solvents produced in a year that has to be disposed of to Licensed Site by 50%.
